Discourses on sarva moola granthas and other topics by

scholars — CDs through Internet for Maadhwas living abroad.

 

In his benedictory note to the Akhila Bharat Maadhwa Mandal,

Bangalore, on its ambitious project of translation of

Shri.Madhwacharya's sarva moola granthas into other Indian languages,

H.H.Vishveshteertha Swamiji of the Pejawar Math, Udupi, expressed,

among other things, his desire that Shri. Madhwacharya's works be

translated into English also so that philosophers and thinkers;

seekers of truth in other countries could be made aware of

Shri.Madhwacharya's rational approach to the truth –scientific and

logical reasoning and in addition to that, his own experience, which

is rightly termed as mind 's sense of actuality. He said that the

voices of Maadhwa philosophy would be heard even in distant lands.

 

However to say that the Swamiji meant translation of

the sarva moola granthas into English only, as an aid to scholars in

foreign countries could wrongly ascribe him with a myopic vision. The

sage-like Swamiji has amply demonstrated his farsightedness in his

diverse contribution to the society in general and the Maadhwa

community in particular during the last four decades. (The writer had

met the Swamiji in the sixties, when he was on a visit Mumbai in

connection with starting of an engineering college in south India).

What he meant was that some of our own thinkers physically propagating

Maadhwa philosophy in different countries.

Vishwa Madhwa Sangha,US, is, I believe, doing what His. Holiness has

in his mind. It is preparing a ground for propagating Madhwa

philosophy in the US in addition to helping its members retain their

cultural identity. In other words, the Vishwa Madhwa Sangha is, I

hope, trying to translate His Holiness' vision into reality.

" Madhwa's Teachings', therefore, places on record its deep

appreciation for the service being rendered by the Vishwa Madhwa

Sangha in the furtherance of Maadhwa cause and intends to lend its

helping hand in the great cause.

 

" Madhwa's Teachings " has some CDs of discourses on some of the sarva

moola granthas like Ramayana, Mahabharata and also on other topics. It

intends to mail them to Maadhwa Bandhus living abroad. It also intends

to mail the CDs to be released by the Satyadhyan Vidyapeeth in future.

Therefore, it requests you to furnish the e-mail addresses of your

members living abroad.

 

It intends to mail one CD of duration of about an hour or so with 60

to 70 MB capacity, every week or every fortnight in addition to its

regular reports.

 

" Madhwa's Teachings " once again registers its appreciation for your

services to the Maadhwa cause and requests you to furnish e-mail

addresses of your members living in foreign countries so as to allow

'Madhwa's Teachings " to be of some service to the Maadhwa community.
