MADHWA'S TEACHINGS

NoMT/13/BS1/210707

Dear Reader,

Bhagawat Saptah by Kulapati.Vidyasimhacharya at the Satyadhyan Vidyapeetha,

from 24-07-07 to 31-07-07 – A rare opportunity to invest in spiritual

diamond mines.

In the course of his discourse on the Mahabharata last Thursday,

Kulapati Vidyasimhacharya dealt with the topic of investment in

spirituality for the future; the investment that ensures one a safe

passage into the unknown; the realms that lie beyond normal human

perception. He referred to the areas that carried no element of

speculation unlike material investments, which are invariably

associated with speculation, as it is rightly said that investment is

a long-term speculation and speculation is a short-term investment. He

referred to the areas of investments like satsangas, Hari Katha

sessions and genuine appreciation of virtuous people and said that

they would ensure high returns to one and that would help him in his

journey beyond.

When young, one makes provision for a decent retired life, which is

normally characterized by lonesomeness, monotony and monetary

dependence, although the condition of lonesome monotonous life and of

dependence on others may not necessarily befall every one in one's old

age. But one makes provision for a steady income in his old age lest

he be left uncared for. He invests in a number of areas for adequate

returns in the twilight years of his life, but strangely, he never

thinks of providing for the journey beyond, which one invariably has

to undertake all alone. While compassionate God does take care of

every one in his journey beyond, He provides for minimum requirements

and He expects that man himself should provide for greater progress

while he is still on the material plane. One of the best investment

areas for a smooth sailing beyond is to read or listen to the Shrimad

Bhagawatam. Bhagwan VedVyasa composed the Shrimad Bhagwat for the

benefit ordinary human beings like us. It takes care of one's post

mundane requirements.

Kulapati.Vidyasimhacharya who comes in the traditional line of

disciplic succession has graciously offered to conduct a Bhagwat

Saptah from 24-07-2007 to 31-07-2007 for the benefit of all. He has

proposed to give discourses on the Bhagawat at the Vidyapeetha between

6.30 pm and 8.30 pm.

As you are aware, listening to the Bhagawatam leads one to

enlightenment. King Parikshit attained enlightenment after listening

to it just for one week. It helps people in many ways even today. The

other day a friend of the writer; a financially very sound person in

his 60's said that he attended a Bhagawat Saptah and that it brought

about a sea change in his life. He also said that he now had a strong

feeling of smooth sailing even beyond as declared by Socrates, when he

consumed Hemlock. Bhagwat, he said, is a spiritual diamond mine that

would take care of us for infinity.

" Madhwa's Teachings " , therefore, very earnestly appeals to all its

members living in the vicinity of the Vidyapeetha and in the nearby

suburbs to attend the forthcoming Bhagawat Saptah. It is aware of the

fact that those who are still serving would find it very difficult

attend the discourses, but it appeals to them to attend to them to the

extent possible for the saptah is just for a week. During that period,

they will lay their hands on far greater (spiritual) riches than the

King Solomon's mines!!

" Madhwa's Teachings " assures that the secret chamber hiding the

treasure of King Solomon's priceless diamonds has no huge stone block

to trap us when we are inside, nor is there any Gagool to entrap us in

the rock chamber to perish in darkness. The cave does have a secret

door through which Kulapati will lead all of us inside and help

everyone return safely with bounty that will last for eternity.

Therefore, dear reader, let us meet on the 24th of this month at 6.30

pm at the Satyadhyan Vidyapeetha.

With best regards,

Ramchandra. Tammannacharya.Gutti.
