Here is a brief report about the successful program we had over the weekend at Hyderabad.

 

Date/Time: SAT Jul 21st / 0930-1100

Place: Lingampally Rayara Mutt, Hyderabad

Scholors Present: Sri D Prahladachar, Sri D Ramachandrachar,

Sri Jayatheerthachar Pagadal, Sri Nagendrachar.

Programme: Detailed discussion about the Life and Works of Sri Raghunatha Theertharu (Sri Shesha Chandrikacharyaru) with emphasis on his contributions to the Vidwat Prapancha, Sri Vyasaraja Mutt and the whole Madhwa society.

Programme: Detailed discussion about the Works of Sri Raghunatha Theertharu

(Sri Shesha Chandrikacharyaru) with emphasis on Bruhati Sahasra Nama, Tatva Sara Sanghra etc.

Place: Kannada Sahitya Academy, Lingampally, Hyderabad:

Scholors Present: Sri Nagasampige Achar, Sri Tirumala Kulkarni, Sri D Prahladachar,

Sri D Ramachandrachar, Sri Nagendrachar, Sri Dr. Venkateshachar.

Others Present: Sri Kakolu Raghavendra, Sri D Rghavendra Rao, Sri Narendra

Deshapande, Sri Dwaraka Nath, Devotees, desciples, fans of

Sri Vyasaraja Mutt.

 

Programme: Public Meeting from Sri Vyasaraja Seva Samithi and detailed discussion about the current sad state of affairs of Sri Vyasaraja Mutt by its pontiffs and his family.

Some of the key points discussed were -

- Lack of eligibility & ability for junior pontiff to sit on the Peeta

- His disinterest in learning and acquiring knowledge as promised by Senior pontiff 2 yrs back, and his infinite, insatiable interest in loukika matters

- Junior Pontiff's illegal, immoral, illicit deeds which has now become a regular feature in the media like Prajavani, TV9, Garva, Agni, Hai Bangalore etc

- The irresponsibility, insensitivity, incapability to react to the situation by senior pontiff

- All the 7+ sons, son-in-law, their family members taking advantage of the situation

and making their hay while the mutt suffers with lack of pride and esteem.

- The recent activities of all the above people to misappropriate the movable and immovable assets of the mutt and the Legal actions in the proceedings initiated by the Sri Vyasaraja Seva Samithi to curtail their advance.

We had a good gathering for all the four sessions spread across 2 days and we are very much thankful to following people who made this a great success.
