Guest guest
Dear Friends, An establishment of Hindu faith on the foreign soil, with such grandeur is truly a remarkable and a marvel. The members involved in the construction of such a beautiful architecture, must be praised for the efforts to bring forth such grandeur. It goes without saying that Shri Hari Vayu grace is on them, without whose grace this could not be done. Enclosed the link showing the video of the temple. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2007/08/26/iyer.georgia.hindu.temple.cnn Cheers !!! ---------------------- Raghav Wealth Management Standard Chartered Bank Dir : 6331 2901 H/P: 9117 2181 Fax: 6339 6993 This email is confidential. It is a Swaminarayan temple and typically they build magnificient temples. I visited one such temple in Delhi. I must say grandeur of Swaminarayan temples are unparalled in modern history. > > > > It goes without saying that Shri Hari Vayu grace is on them, without > whose grace this could not be done. Of course, yes, but bear in mind that Swaminarayan folks believe their Guru Swaminarayan (aka Ganashyam Pandey) as incarnation of Vishnu Himself. But we as Hindus living in far off lands, must show solidarity with them. --Mokashi. > > > > Enclosed the link showing the video of the temple. > > > > http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2007/08/26/iyer.georgia.hindu.tem ple > .cnn > > > > Cheers !!! > ---------------------- > Raghav > Wealth Management > Standard Chartered Bank > Dir : 6331 2901 > H/P: 9117 2181 > Fax: 6339 6993 > > > > This email is confidential. Guest guest
IMHO, building huge temples on such a grand scale just to attract masses or to show up on a top-10 list of worlds best structures have no meaning in the Shastraic sense. It just becomes an art lover’s paradise or a public community gathering hall. Not only in USA, this applies to many such temples being built in and around cities within India as well, where tons of money are poured on building lavish architectures with little emphasis on proper Pratishtapana, maintaining Taratamya, agamas and Vaastu shastra. I wish that same money gets invested in renovating so many old historical dilapidated temples which cherish of great history, heritage and where the idols have been consecrated by great Rushi Munis.
