Dear Krishnabhaktas,

Washington DC area celebrated Shri Raghavendra Swamigala aradhane on Sunday, 09 September 2007. Attended by a huge crowd, we had visitors from as far as North Carolina, Ohio, and New York attend the function.

Herewith, I am sharing some nice pictures taken by Shri Keshav Bhat who traveled from North Carolina: http://picasaweb.google.com/keshav.bhat/RaghavendraAradhana

The puja was performed by Shri Harish Baipadithaya. Shri Gopinath Galalgali graced the function and delivered a fantastic pravachana that was interspersed with appropriate messages in English to the youth present in the crowd. Shri Harish Baipadithaya and Shri Jayakrishna Nelamangala also quenched the philosophical thirst of the audience by talking about shri Raghavendra swami and his works and contribution to the society.

We were treated to Sangitha Seva by Kum Vibha Rao, Smt. Purnima, Smt. Shanta Murthy, and Shri Harikrishna. As part of the aradhana mahotsava, we also felicitated three couples, the senior citizens of our community who have been helping shape the broader Hindu community for the past few decades in this region.

Last but not the least, the fantastic cooking of Srinath Bende for more than 300 people – with special "Holige oota" will also be remembered for quite some time.
