So the Punyakala will start from the time of Sun Rise on 15th January. There is ashastraic injunction that the first five nAdIs(ghaTikAs) are puNyatama(more beneficial)(prAtaH pa~ncanADyaH puNyatamAH). From the Sunrise (6:59 a.m according to UM Panchanga) if we count 5nAdIs ( 1 nAdi = 24 mins) the puNyatama kAla would be 5*24 = 120 minsi.e 2 hrs from sunrise i.e upto 8:59 a.m. Therefore it is advised togive Pitru Tarpana, do Parayana, Japa etc during this very auspicioustime.haraye namaha,regards,R.Rachuriuttaradimath-list , "Yadhu Nath.S"<pavamana wrote:>> Hare Srinivasa,> > This year the Uttarayana Parvakala falls on 15th Jan, > > what time do we need to give Pitru Tarpana ?> > Is it between any specific timings , if so what is it > > Danyavadagalu> Yadhu>
