Guest guest
Hare Srinivasa ! Keeping in view of the fact that Sri Vadirajaru's aaradhana is due next month, let us try to do the chintana of his great composition on the kalyana of Lakshmi Narayana. Lakshmi Shobane Sri Vadiraja theertharu is one of the great yatis in the lineage of Madhwa. He has not only composed works in Sanskrit but also in Kannada . He is beleived to be a ruju. A ruju is a class of jivas who have the yogyate of becoming future Brahma and Sri Vadirajaru is called as "Bhavi sameera" because he is to become next MukyaprAna and then follow on to become Brahma later. His clarity of thought and his love for his Lord Trivikrama/Lord Hayagreeva as well as his extreme devotion to Srimad Acharya is clearly evinced in his compositions. This shobana pada was sung by Sri Vadirajaru during his visit to a small village ,in response to the pitiful plea of a village zamindar . It was the occasion of the marraige of the Zamindar's daughter, the groom was bitten by a snake and was almost on his death bed. All the people of the village had gathered there for the wedding and among them there were some good vaidyas present who tried to revive the groom, but in vain. It was visible to all that the poison was spreading. One of villagers told the zamindar to seek the help of the saint who had arrived in the village that day. Immediately the zamindar approached Sri Vadirajaru with full faith that he could do something to rectify the dire situation .His faith did not go in vain. Being a great aparOxa jNAni and a great haribhakta , he also followed his Lord in accepting and fulfilling the pleas of his devotees. It is also believed that Vadirajaru had a dream the previous night wherein he was instructed by the Lord to compose the story of Sri LakshminArAyaNara kalyana. Please download the doc to read on. (I have attached the document as it is long and someone suggested that it would be better to have it as an attachment.) to be continued... .... by the grace of Lord Sri Hari. Sri KrishnArpanamastu I am not the doer, Lord Hari is the doer Whatever He makes me do is His worship by His grace Parimala Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Search.
