Nestling in its lap of lush green nature is a century old temple of lord Sri Venugopalaswamy. Inspiring awe and adoration! The enticing sculpture of Chaturbhuja Sri Venugopalaswamy on a life-size brindavan instituted by Sri Sripadarajaru is a source of benevolence to the devout. It is considered to be a replica of the Lord’s form that appeared before Indra and other gods, as narrated in Srimadbhagavata. And the unique Kambada Anjaneya consecrated by Sri Vyasarajaru is a major attraction here at Kakolu. The annual Brahmarathotsava of Sri Venugopalaswamy is now in its 75th year- Amrutha mahotsava. Every year a series of festivities are organised from Chaitra Shuddha Tritiya to Ramanavami. Kakolu wears a grand festive look during this period and an unending stream of devotees literally flow in thousands. As a part of this Amruthamahotsava Gnanayagna -Sri Krishna Dharsana, a series of discourses has been organised. This Month a unique programme ,Quiz on “Haridasa Sahithya” has been arranged at Udaya Bhanu Kalasanga's cultural centre , Opp to Gavipuram Choultries,Ramakrishna Mutt Layout, Kempegowda Nagar, Banglaore – 19 on March 2nd 2008 ,SUNDAY at 2.00 pm. Dharmabhushana – reciepent of D V G Award Sri. Koteshwara Suryanarayana Rao will inaugurate the programme, Editior of Haridasavahini monthly, Sri. A. B. Shyamachar will preside over the programme .
