Dear Reader,

Last year Vidvan Vidyasimhacharya, Kulapati, Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha,

Mulund, gave a lecture on theism, in Kannada.

Theism, the belief in the concept of God, Who pervades and transcends

space and time and who is All Compassionate and Atheism, the total

negation of the existence of God constitutes a subject for everlasting

debate. On one hand are the great philosophers and thinkers like Shri.

Adi Shankaracharya. Shri. Ramanujacharya and Shri. Madhwacharya and

scientists like Einstein, who firmly believed in the existence of God,

the supreme power and the regulator of the universe and on the other

hand are of the Charvak philosophy, founded by Brihaspati, thinkers

like, Karl Marx, Jean Paul Sartre and others, who disbelieve in the

existence of God. The debate, which is ongoing from time immemorial,

is likely to continue for ever without being resolved. But the more

intriguing question is why people continue to disbelieve in God and in

the chaos in universe despite innumerable proofs to the contrary? Only

Madhwacharya has answered this question.

Taking a bird's view of the human history from Pyramids to the

Petronos, Kulapati explained how other religions like Judaism,

Christianity and Islam have come to accept the Vedic truths of God,

the All Supreme and All Compassionate in their philosophies and

religions. In the course of his long lecture, he proved theism purely

on the basis of logic and examples from the material world, quoting

Eastern and Western thinkers and scientists. He disproved chaos in the

universe on the basis of recent discoveries made in science and

covered as varied subjects as astronomy and molecular biology to prove

his point. He concluded the lecture with the explanation furnished by

Shri. Madhwacharya for the very existence of the debate.

The CD containing that lecture on theism is in demand ever since it

was released. Acclaimed as one of the best lectures on theism, it is

felt that every Brahmin must have this CD his abode and to start with,

the Vidyapeetha has graciously decided to give it as a gift to every

Maadhwa family.

The writer wishes to send the CD to all the readers of " Madhwa's

Teachings " . Therefore, he requests all its readers to furnish their

details such as name, postal address and e-mail ID to him to enable

him to furnish the same to the Vidyapeetha to arrange to deliver the

CD to them..

With best regards,

Ramchandra. Tammannacharya. Gutti.
