We do not know that there is an ending for the entire Universe. Here the author Vedagarbha G.Sheshagiri Rao has chosen a different task in compiling and editing the book titled “Anantha†written in Kannada. The author has succeeded fully in narrating to the readers the meaning of "Anantha". This book has a anugraha sandesha by Shri Sathyathama Thirtahru ,Swamiji of Shri Uttaradimath. The Swamiji has blessed this author with his wonderful words and praised the author for bringing this useful book to the entire Madhwa fraternity. The main aim of the author is to explore the term of “Anantha†in our Shri Madhwacharya’s philosophy and also in Haridasa Kruthis . He has given scientific reasoning, has discussed about Astronomy and Anantha in Mathematics and has published some papers at the end of the book. Describing the sky is fascinating. He has given about calculations of time with reference to Shruthi Prakarana Suladi of Sri Vijayadasaru and Sri Jagannatha dasaru Kruthis. The author has also explained about Manushya Mana, Pithru Mana, Deva Mana, Brahma Mana etc., The author has touched about the types of Jeevas that are existing on this earth. He has nicely differentiated about Sadh Gunas(Good qualities) and Durgunas (Bad qualities) present in the Jeevas. Vedagarbha G.Sheshagiri Rao has taken some Slokas from ManiManjari(8-37) and explained about the presence of Anantha. He has also referred to the slokas of Shri Narayana Panditha acharya’s Sri Sumadhwa Vijaya ( 7-46,8-41,4-32 has narrated about the Anatha and In Srimad Bhaghavad Geethe slokas (11-16 , 11-19, 11-37,11-40 and 11-47 which contains the presence of “Anantha†The author has also pointed out that in Shri Vishnu Sahastra Nama also we can find “Anantha†in many slokas. In Brahma Suthra Bashya, Anu Vyakhyana , Nyayamrutha, Shri Vishnu Tatva Nirnaya, Shri Madhwacharyas Dwadasa Stotra Hasthodha Mantra, Yamaka Bharatha, Mahabharatha Tarparnirnaya. In Srimad Bhagavatha there are many slokas that talk about “Ananthaâ€. Srimad Vadiraja Pujya Charana Virachita “Yukthimallika†gives the description of "Anantha" in solid 71 slokas and the author has given the meanings of the slokas also. Our great Haridasaru like Sri Sripadarajaru, Sri Vyasarajaru, Sri Vadirajaru, Sri Purandara dasaru, Sri Vijayarayaru Sri Gopaladasaru, Sri Jagannatha Dasaru and Sri Prasanna Venkata Dasaru and many more Haridasaru have writte beautiful compositions on “Anantha†and one can go through some of the compositions given in this book. Harikathamruthasara of Sri Jagannathadasaru, the Magnam Opus of the Madhwa Community has also dealt with “Ananthaâ€. Many people do not know how to perform Anantha Padmanabha Vratha. From this book people can learn how to perform the Vratha. The author has given list of items required for the Vratha and he also given the story of the AnanthaPadmanabha Vratha. At the end of the book, the author has collected Suladi of Sri Vijayadasaru titled “Anantha Devara Vratha Kathe†Hats off to the author for bringing the “Anantha†closer to us and he should be appreciated for his marvelous efforts in compiling this book.
