Dear Haribhaktas,

With the prerane of Shri Hari, Vayu and Gurugalu

as in the previous years we are blessed to celebrate Shri 1008

Shri Raghavendra Swamigala aradhane on Sunday, August 17, 2008

at Livermore temple on the auspicious day of the poorvAradhane.

 

Please reserve this day to participate and get the blessings

of Shri Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu. We need volunteers for various tasks, ratha

preparation, stage preparation, abhisheka & archane coordination with

the priests, cooking (starts at 9 AM at the community hall kitchen in madi)

serving (about 300 devotees in tradittional sitdown lunch). Please arrive

at 7AM on Sunday to help out.

 

Please bring flowers for the stage decoration, photos of

Shri Rayaru, organic milk & honey for Abhisheka, no buttermilk

please (because of dadhi vratha),

 

 

This year we have the idols of Shri Prahladarajaru and Shri Rayaru donated

by devotees from India and we thank for their seva and pray Shri Rayaru

to bless them.

9 AM : Stotra pathana

Shri VishnusahasranAma, Shri NarasimhAstaka,

Shri Venkatesha stotra, Shri Harivayustuthi,

taratmya stotras of yathigalu, Shri Rayara ashtottara

(108 times - if (12 paticipants * 9 times resitation),

Madhu abhiskheka to Shri Krishna, Shri MukyaprAna,

Shri Raryaru, Shri Vijayakavacha

10 AM : Pravachana on Shri Raghavendraswamigalu

Shri Krishnacharya Pandurangi

10.30 AM : Rathotsava, Shri Narasimha, Shri PrahlAdarajaru,

Shri Rayaru and granthagalu.

11.30 : Abhisheka, Archane, mangalarathi to

Shri Prahladarajaru and Shri Rayaru

6.30 - 8 PM : Bhajane, mangala, mangalarathi

A suggested donation of $51 is appreciated for the expenses (grocery and

sambhavane to priests) and a donation of $11 (abhisheka and archane

sponsorship - to temple). Please make seperate donation for ecah. Please

handover the contributions to Shri Sateesh Jamakhandi (checks in his name).
