Untimely demise of Shri C.M. Nagendra -“Geetha Dairy Nagendra�.

With deep sorrow, I would like to share the sad news of untimely demise of Shri C.M. Nagendra who is more popularly known as “Geetha Dairy Nagendraâ€.

 

Shri C.M. Nagendra was well known to most of the madhva bhandus for his selfless service to the community through several means.

He used to propagate “practicing Geetha in daily life†by means of “Geetha Dairy†since last couple of years. Geetha Dairy was his special & unique brain child in which two shlokas of Bhagavadgeetha with the meaning in Kannada and English are given for every page in the dairy book, thus covering the whole Geetha in one year.

Shri Nagendra was also a good guide and teacher for Yoga & Meditation practices and conducted many free camps to propagate the benefits of Yoga & Meditation. He had special love for the students of Vidyapeeta and used to help them in several ways who are dedicating their life for the study & propagation of Shri Acharya’s philosophy, He used to teach Yoga & Meditation to the students during summer camp & holidays. He used to talk to these students very often ensuring special care & affection to the little students who are away from their parents.

In his last public function, during the Purapravesha of Shri Sode swamiji on 13-July-2008, Shri Nagendra performed a Yoga & Meditation demo for a big crowd of nearly 3 thousand people in “Shri Vishwottama Vedike†in Poornaprajna Vidyapeeta.

Shri Nagendra wanted to help every madhva bandhu who is in trouble, by setting up a helpline and counselling. He also had several other plans in his heart for the community welfare.

 

But Lord’s wish is something else and Shri C.M. Nagendra left for heavenly abode in the very early morning hours of today (21-Aug-2008).

 

May Lord Shri Hari bless the departed soul for peaceful rest.

May Lord bless the family members with all the strength needed to bear this great loss.
