This is to inform you all that Sri Tamraparni Sreenivasacharyaru expired today around 1pm IST at Bangalore.

 

He had arranged for a proshtapadi bhagavatha session at home delivered by his son, soon after which

he experienced severe heart ache and was getting into the car to reach the hospital.

 

As most of us know, Sri Achar was one live example of a Madhwa Siddhanatha follower / preacher,

who adhered to the rituals and procedures without any compromise and always lived for his principles.

 

He belongs to the famous Tamraparni Family, which has given several Vidwans, Pandits, Granthakaras to our Madhwa Siddhantha. He is also the grand son of Sri Madhwanatha Theertha Sripadaru, whose brindavana is at Sri Rangam, whose work have been tried by Sri Achar on writing teeke & tippanis.

 

Sri Tampraparni Achar has attained his formal veda/shastra adhyayana with Sri JaalihaL Sreenivasacharyaru and also a contemporary of Sri BaLigar Sreenivasacharyaru. He being an authority on nyAya, tarka, shastra, dharma paddhati and several other facets of our philosophy has also authored around 19-20 books so far

and was taking care of the learning of several many students under him. There are several Pandits / Vidwans

who are now spreading the siddhanta alreadt graduated under him.

 

We all at MYP offer our sincere respects and homage to him for all that he has done to us during his life time.
