Sri Vyasaraja was the favoured and respected Rajaguru of four emperors of historical Vijayanagar empire. Sri Vyasaraja was also the guru of the likes of Kanakadasa and Purandaradasa. Over five hundred years ago Sri Vyasaraja consecrated 732 idols of Anjaneyaswamy in the area of the then Vijayanagar empire creating a revolution in dharmic

traditions.

 

Five centuries later, today Gowdagere Vijaya Kumar Acharya through his special and inspired efforts, search and research has located so far over 450 Sri Vyasaraja consecrated idols of Sri Anjaneyaswamy. These idols have been photographed along with existing structures/ temples.

 

A selection of photos of 350 idols have been readied for public viewing.
