Over the last weekend, I was blessed to

be part of annual “GOPALA” for Vijayadasara Aradhane in Ananthapur.

I closely interacted with Sri Venkoba Dasa, Vasmastharu of Vijaya Dasaru. So

putting down some facts and Figures for Donors

 

Some

Facts/ Figures who wish to contribute

 

-

Number of pilgrims is expected: 40,000 over the seven days of the Aradhane peaking with 25,000 pilgrims on Saturday Nov 8, 2008

-

Around 50 Quintal

of Mandagi to be

prepared (1 Kg = 27 Mandigi, 1 Quintal = 2700, 25 Quintal = 67,500 Mandigi).

It is interesting note

that Sri VijayaDasaru himself used to cook 15,000 Mandigi. So Mandigi is

Special Dish for Aradhane.

A dedicated team of 8 people only

to prepare Mandigi

-

Only Cooks labor cost = INR 35,000

-

Only Labor cost for Shamina = INR 40,000

-

Pontiff of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt HH Sri 1008

Sushameendra Teertharu is expected to Visit Chippagiri on Nov 7, 2008 (Though

not confirmed)
