She puts the akshatte made of pearl dust on her forehead and then she wears the beautiful crown made of 9 jewels. The navaratnas are the nine jewels of worship she offers constantly to the Lord. shravanam, Kirtanam, Smaranam, Vishnu PAda SEvanam, Archanam, Vandanam, DAsyam, Sakhyam & Atma Niveadanam . Vadirajaru describes the crown as that made of nine different precious stones. The crown/head of Mahalakshmi is constantly bowing to the lotus feet of the Lord. It shows the magnificience of SriMahalakshmi's devotion as well as the greatness of the Lord as the Supreme personality. Also it shows that those who also wear such a crown with nine jewels of worship will find a place near the Lord's feet. Also since Sri Mahalakshmi is the most ardent devotee of the Lord, and she always engages herself in His seva, all those who worship her as such, will be rewarded with her grace which will protect and save one from the clutches of samsaara. muttinakShateyiTTu navaratnada mukuTava nettiya mele dharisideLe nettiya mele dharisidaLA devi tanna bhaktiya janara salahali ||11|| kuMda-maMdara-jAjI-kusumagaLa vR^iMdava cheMdada turubige turubidaLe kuMdavarNada komale mahalakShumi kR^ipe- yiMda vadUvarara salahali ||12|| turubu- hair tied as knot at the top or braid The beautiful gold hued flower called mandara with its sweet smell, the jasmine flowers and many more beautiful and fragrant flowers are there in bunches and bunches . Sri Mahalakshmi's beautiful braid was decorated with these fragrant flowers. The top knot on her hair was also decked with jasmine and mandara flowers. Here Dasaru wants to highlight the beauty of Sri Mahalakshmi's hair. There in he also says that against the back drop of the braided hair bedecked with fragrant flowers and the jewelled crown on her head her face was golden hued and very tender and delicate. Such a personality of Sri Mahalakshmi shows her tenderness towards her devotees and hence Sri Vadirajru says,"Let such a Mahalakshmi shower her compassion on the wedded couple and protect them." Sri Vadirajru also refers to the golden aura about Sri Mahalakshmi's face which is the sign of her extreme devotion and spiritual height. The wedded couple in general refers to all couples who have faith and devotion in the Lord and His consort Srimahalakshmi. sri KrishnArpaNamastuI am not the doer,Lord Hari is the doerWhatever He makes me do is His worhsip by His graceR.Parimala New Email addresses available on Get the Email name you've always wanted on the new @ymail and @rocketmail.
