Guest guest
22-10-08 Reconstruction of the Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha- Appeal for donation in kind. Dear Reader, With " pitru-paksha' having come to an end, the scene at the Vidyapeetha has undergone a dramatic change; from a site with a sleepy atmosphere to one of bustling activity. Every one of the large work force seems to be in a hurry to complete the project. While workers are busy at the site from dawn to dusk, the engineers looking after the execution of the work in site office, a small cabin in the compound, are frantically trying to find out ways and means to accelerate the pace of work to make good the time lost. In consultation with the contractor, they are assessing the quantum of work involved in completion of the ground floor, which they intend to work on simultaneously with erection of columns of the first floor; in fact, they have already worked out quantities of major items like bricks and plaster including those of floor tiles, window sills that they would require at a later stage and are in consultation with interior designers for choice from the aesthetic angle. These initiatives have given a new approach to the donation collection drive. Donations are being received from devotees from far and wide. The Vidyapeetha is aware that many of the donors may prefer to contribute to this noble cause in kind. There may be others who, by virtue of their position or acquaintances with businessmen would be willing to secure goods for the project at concessional rates and thus contribute much more than their monetary donations could fetch. The Vidyapeetha requests such donors to reconsider their contribution in the light of the observations made above and to contact Shri.Ajit. Deshpande, Engineer-in-Charge, and Shri.Vinay. Yardi, Executive Engineer, on telephone Nos 98706 60011 and 9819056754 respectively, to ascertain the kind and quantity of various items required for the project; and then decide what quantum of which items they can offer as their donation to this divine project.
