Guest guest
Dear devotees,Today (sunday) is Sri Sumatheendra's Aradhana. His Moola Brindavana is at Srirangam. The Aradhana was celebrated grandly. There is an interesting miracle from the Swamiji's charithra. A sorcerer had made himself invisible and hid within the sanctum sanctorum of the Ranganatha temple at Srirangam. Because of this, the lustre and aura of the moola vigraha had gone down, which the devotees could do nothing about. When the swamiji came to town, he was informed of this problem and requested to redeem them. The swamiji sensed that all the Naivedhya food was being consumed by the sorcerer and suggested that next day the food be cooked in spicy peppered water. The sorcerer who derived his powers from his 'magic' eyeliner, could not stop the spices from making him teary-eyed and from losing his powers. He was subsequently driven out of the temple after being spotted. Sri Sumatheendra Teertha then went on to install a vigraha of Hanuma in the temple to keep the temple from future evils. The miracle brings up the topic of invisibility as something that is a trait of God, and that must not be practised by humans normally. --Sarvothaman
