Dear friends,

As I had indicated earlier, we, in the Sri Vyasaraja seva samithi, are very pleased to announce a grand programme of Jnana Yajna, exclusively devoted to Sri Vyasaraja and His distinguished successors for a period of a fortnight starting from 9 th of this month up to 25 th, between 6.30 Pm - 8 Pm everyday, in the premises of Sri Benne Govindappa kalyana mantapa, adjoining the temple, in Basavanagudi, Bangalore. We are blessed in being able to get the presence of two great Ascetic Pravachanakaras for longer periods as well as many well known scholars, who are going to make the occasion memorable by their contributions. This feast of Jnana has been arranged mainly to inform, dedicate and bring together countless devotees of Sri Vyasaraja, who have been feeling demotalised with recent events and to rededicate ourselves to the glorious traditions of the Sri Vyasaraja and his lineage of distinguished scholars, poets and Aparoksha

jnanis.

PROGRAMS

1. SRI SRI SUVIDYENDRA TIRTHA - will speak on Bhagavatha Sapthama skanda (where the story of Sri Prahlada, the earlier incarnation of Sri Vyasaraja/Raghavend ra is unfolded) along with a wide coverage of Sri Vyasaraja's famous compositions - dates 9 th to 13 th at 6.30 PM to 8 PM

2. Vidvan Sri Venkteshacharya will speak on Chandrika - the magnum opus of Sri Vyasaraja - dates 14 th and 15 th.

3. Vidvan Sri Brahmanyacharya will speak on Vyasaraja Guru Mahime and his compostions - dates 16 th and 17 th.

4. Vidvan Sri Ramachandracharya will speak on Sri Vyasaraja and his compositions on 18 th.

5. Vidvan Sri Vijayasimhacharya will speak on Bhashya dipika of Sri Jagannatha Tirtha om 19 th.

6. Vidvan Dr. Vyasanakere Prabhanjanacharya will speak on Sri Vyasaraja charithe and his compositions on 20 th and 21 st.

7. SRI SRI VISHVANANDANA TIRTHA will speak on Mithyathvanumanakha ndana gloss composed by Sri Vyasaraja. on 22 nd and 23 rd.

8. Vidvan Sri Guruprasadacharya will speak on the greatness of the famous Vyasathraya on 24 th.

9. Vidvan Sri D Prahaladacharya will preside over the concluding session and speak on the subject of the great glory of Sri Vyasaraja Matha and its Parampare of great scholars on 25 th.

All devotees of Acharya Madhva, and Sri Vyasaraja are invited to partake in this unique feast of knowledge, unprecedented in living memory.

On behalf of the Sri Vyasaraja Seva Samithi, I would like to invite all interested devotees to attend a special Jnana karya on Bhashya Dipika, composed by Sri Jagannatha Tirtha an Illustrious predecessor (1755-70 AD) of the Sri Vyasaraja Parampare, who has composed an independentTeeka on Acharya Madhva's Brahmasuthra Bhashya. This work which supplements Sri Teekacharya's Tatva Prakashika, as a commentary is unique, as it analyses all the commentaries available at the time and has been written to facilitate correct and complete understanding of Madhva Bhashya. Sri Bhashyadipikacharya's Guru is the renowned Sri Sheshachandrikachar ya, who composed the second part of Chandrika (for the last two chapters) after Sri Vyasaraja himself had composed the first two. The Guru-shishya team represents the acme of scholarship and authority unmatched else where.

To pay our humble respects to Sri Jagannatha Tirtha, whose Aradhana falls on 29 th December (Pushya Shuddha Dvitiya) , this Pravachana karya is being held in the auditorium of the Sri Raghavendra Swami temple premises, at NarasimhaRaja Colony as per the program given below:

Time : 6.30 - 8 PM evening

27 th Dec. - Sri AnandaTirtha acharya nagasampige - Samanvaya Adhyaya of Bhashya Dipika

28 th Dec - Sri Sathyanarayana acharya - Avirodha Adhyaya of Bhashya Dipika

29 th Dec - Sri D Ramachandracharya - Sadhana Adhyaya of Bhashya Dipika

30 th Dec - Sri D. Prahladacharya - Phala Adhyaya and general appreciation.

Sri D Prahladacharya will preside over all the lectures.

All are invited to attend and partake in this feast of Jnana.
