Tomorrow, 11-Jan-2009, Pushya Shukla Pournima, aradhana of Sri Sri Lakshmi Manohara Theertha sripadangalavaru Peetadhipathi of Sri Sripadaraja mutt, Mulbagal. Below is the samll write-up.

Sri Sri Lakshmi Manohara Theertha sripadangalavaru - Peetadhipathi of Sri Sripadaraja mutt, Mulbagal

Sri Sri Lakshmi Manohara Theertha sripadangalavaru,16th peetadhipathi to occupy the Sri Sripadarja simhasana. Swamiji ruled the Sri Sripadaraja vedantha samrajya between 1670 ~ 1708. His ashrama gurugalu is Sri Sri Raghunatha theertharu whos brindavan is in Eragampally. Elandur dist, near mysore.

 

Around 4 parampara brindavans of sri sripadarja mutt are situated in and around Mysore, namely Sri Sri Raghunatharu– Eragampally, Sri Sri Lakshmi Natharu – Abbur, Sri Sri Gnananidhigalu – Sri Ranga pattana and Sri Sri Gunanidhigalu – Thayur, near T.Narasipur.

 

After the brindavana pravesha of Sri Sri Raghunatharu, Sri Sri lakshmi monahararu, stayed in Eragampally and made arrangements for the nitya pooja and pata pravachana there. Then he proceeded towards Mulbagal and stayed in Mulbagal for long time. He did the pata to thousands of students at Mulbagal. Swamiji was invited for the installation of Mukya prana devaru at Hosur, near Bangalore. As per the wishes of the shishyas, Swamiji installed Sri Pranadevaru. Also, huge kanike was given to him. Swami, asked to

utilize the kanike for the nithya pooja and improvement of the temple. The temple is in the middle of Hosur town. Around 15 years back, this temple has been handed over to Sri Mutt. Present Sri Sripadaraja mutt swamiji did the prathista of Sri Rayuru along with the prana devaru installed by Sri Sri lakshmi manohararu.

 

Swamiji did the extensive sanchara in south India. On sanchara krarma, Swamij reached Odapalli village, near Erode which is on the banks of Cauvery. Seeing the beauty of the place, he settled there. Odapalli is near Pallipalyam, near Erode, Tamil Nadu.

 

Sri Sripadaraja mutt means, always filled with subhikshe. During Sri lakshmi manohararu period, along with this, gnana and anna bhikshe multiplied in many folds. Swamiji is having paripoorna anugraha of Sri lakshmi devi. He tought thousands of people during his stay at Odapalli.

 

Knowing the avathara samapthi, he installed Sri Sri Lakshmi pathigalu as his successor to the Sri Sripadaja maha samsthana.

 

On Pushya Shukla Pournima, he made the brindavana pravesha. His brindavan is in Erode on the banks of river Cauvery. His brindavan is the first brindavan in this place. Later, 8 yathis of mutt parampara, joined in this place and now this place is called Nava brindavan or Brindavana thopu.

 

We request all the hari bhakths to visit this place, Odapalli, have the darshan of Sri Sri Lakshmi Manohararu and other yathi paramapara. Also have the blessings of Hayavadana Rangavittlathmaka Sri Gopinatha devaru, great guru Sri Sri Lakshmi manohara theertharu.
