Guest guest
Dear Hari Bhakthas,   Tomorrow, Phalguna bahula Astami, (19-Mar-2009) aradhana of Sri Suhinighigalu.  A small write-up on the life and achievements of swamiji has been prepared  Sri Sri Sudhinidhi Theertha Sripadangalavaru (Sri Hariyapachar Swamigalu)  Peethadipathi - Sri Sripadaraja Mutt, Mulbagal  Sathya deeptham vasyavajam yamabyai rasta beeryayudham Hamsa desham nishevathvam sudhinidhi vidhi budha  Period: 1885 ~ 1905 Ashrama Gurugalu – Sri Sugyananidhigalu Ashrama Shisya – Sri Medhanidhigalu  Sri Sri Sudhinidhigalu, 31st peethadipathi in the parampara of Sri Padmanapa Theertha, Sri Sripadaraja Mutt, Mulbagal. Like his ashrama life, his poorvashrama life is also very interesting.  Poorvashrama name Sri Hariyapachar. His stayed in the Mulbagal town and looking after the Mutt activities in the capacity of Diwan. During his poorvashrama, when his father was teaching to his students, Sri Hariyapachar used to stand behind the pillar and listen to the teachings. By this way, he was master in the Dwaita siddhanta. He was taught by none, Swamvakta panditharu. He was initiated to sanyasa ashrama by Sri Sugyananidhigalu in the year 1885 and made him as Sri Sri Sudhinidhigalu.  Most of the times, he stayed in the Erode knowing the sanctity attached to that place. He was teachings to the thousands of students at Erode. Teaching Sumadhwa vijaya was his favorite. Everyone in the mutt was ordered to recite the entire 16 contos of Madhwa vijaya. It is to be noted that the mutt cook also was reciting the entire sumadhwa vijaya daily during preparing of naivadya for Sri Hari. He has re written many of the granthas of great yathis by his own writing.  In the year 1932, Mysore university authorities made a search for a clear and correct version of Tarka Tandava of Sri Vyasaraja. Then the authorities found that manuscript and copy written by Sri Sudhinidhigalu was the same and authenticated copy.  The Thiruchnur sabha authorities were decided to install the Vedavyasa idol in the sabha mantapa. The sabha members united accepted that the prathisthapana of Sri Vedavyasa idol to be done by Sri Sri Sudhinidhigalu only . Hence accordingly swamiji was invited and he did the Vedavyasa devaru prathita. During every year, before the sabha start due remembrance and respects are being paid to this great yathi Sri Sudhinidhigalu for the act.  Sri D V Gundappa, excellent kannada writer was swamiji’s friend during the poorvahsrama days.  Sri Sudhinidhigalu was a great scholar and tapasvi. He followed ashrama dharama meticulously. He is very famous for his mantra sakthi. He was a patient hearer and never seen anger in his face. He was a very simple personality and easily approachable to every one.  Because of this, he was affectionately called by his poorvashrama name Sri Hariyapachar Swamiji.  He was taken in a procession in and around the Mada streets of Srirangam during his visit. He ruled the Vedanta samrajya of Sri Sripadarja mutt for 21 years (1885 to 1906). In the year 1906. he initiated Sri Hebbani Srinivasachar into sanyasa ashrama, named him as Sri Medhanidhigalur and made him as his uttaradhikari. On the 18th day, after giving ashrama, he left his mortal coils at the Erode Brindavana topu. His brindavan stood politely in between the brindavana of Sri Lakshmi Manohara Theertha and Sri Lakshmi pathi Theertha.  Sri Medhanidhigalu, his ashrama shisya too entered into brindavana on the 18th day after handling over the samsthana to Sri Dayanidhigalu. (Poorvashrama son of Sri Sudhinidhigalu) as his gurugalu did. That is the rare and rarest events in the life of Guru Shishya.  The grand father (Sri Sudhinidhigalu), Son (Sri Dayanidhigalu) and grand son (Sri Vijayanidhigalu) combination was very unique, all ruled the Vedanta samrajya of Sripadarja mutt,  known for their panditya, authority over the madhwa siddantha, simplest life leading, not interested in money (never touched the money) and thinking as smallest of all others are rare qualities possessed all the 3 of them.  Till today the elders in and around Erode tells the stories of Sri Sudhinidhigala period. His period is golden period in the mutt history.  Even today commencing of any learning will end smoothly if it is commenced in front of Sri Sudhinidhi brindavan. A person with simple thinking, devoted and dedicated is certain to be blessed. This is the experience of many innocent dedicated persons.  If any elders who has some article of Sri Sudhinidhigalu / heard some stories about this great yathi from their grand fathers, please communicate back to Sri Mutt. We would like to preserve these for the future generation.     All hari bhakthas are cordially invited for the aradhana celebration at the moola brindavana sannidhi Erode, Nava Brindavan. (Aradhana on 19-Mar-2009).  Thanks and kind regards, Murali Krishnan Hebbani Srinivas Hand phone: +91-98800 63823 Pl. visit http://sripadarajamutt.org/news/
