It is the Guha Pravesha Day of (1416A.D)Ashrama Gurugalu - Sri Jayadhwaja Theertharu

 

There is no Vrundavana as he entered Guha alive

& never turned back.

Purushottama Theertharu is the ashrama gurugalu

of Sri Brahmanya Theertharu.

 

 

 

 

Puroshottama Guha

: This Purushottama Guha is just 3 Km from Abbur. It is in walkable

distance from the Abbur Matha. It is believed that Sri Purushottama

Theertharu used to go to this guha daily to do Japatapaanusthana and

from there and carry the water to offer pooja to “Kambhada Narashima devara devasthaanaâ€

in a near by village. Later Sri Purushottama teertharu went into this

guha to do his penance and he never came back. It is believed that he

still resides there. People used to still go deep into the cave, but

then the hanumantha idol was installed there to prevent them from going
