SVBM will be getting together for a satsangha at Shri Krishna

Brundavana, Udupi Puttige Mata, LA on this Saturday April 11, 2009.

Please see the program put together by Shri Sateesh Jamakhandi.

 

This is a great opportunity to attend the divya sannidhi of

Shri Udupi Krishna and other dieties at the temple premises. With

the ashirvAda of the current ParyAya peetha Swamiji Shri 1008 Shri

Sugunendra theertharu,all the Madhva activities started in USA

and we offer our sashtAnga pramanagalu to Shrigalavaru.

 

On this occassion we will be celebrating the first anniversary of

Shri Haribhajane Group, a devaranAma class started by Shri Sateesh

Jamakhandi. Many of our members are immensly benefitted from the

class. It is also the tenth anniversary of Shri Vyasa Bhajana Mandali.

We are blessed to have Shri Puttige Shrigala ashirvachana from

Udupi Shri Krishanana sannidhi.

With the preraNe and anugraha of Sri Hari, Vayu and GurugaLu, we are going to Sri Krishna Brundavana, LA over the weekend. More than 25 families have already confirmed to be part of this trip and we request everyone to avail this opportunity. The priests in Sri Krishna Brundavana have gladly accepted to conduct all the programs specially for us. Our praNAmAs to them for accepting our request.

 

The agenda of the trip is:

 

Friday 10th, 2008 - Driving to LA. As it is a weekday, Please leave at your convenience and in your groups to reach Woodland Hills, LA before night. If you reach early, please come to temple and help in cutting vegetables for Saturday.

 

Saturday 11th 2009

 

8.00 am to 11.00 am - Sri Pavamana Homa - Under the leadership of Smt Sudha and Sri Krishna Pandurangi.

Morning breakfast - for kids and others

 

11.00 am to 1.00 pm - Sri Laxmi sahita Sri SathyanarAyaNa pooje - Under the leadership of Smt Poornima and Sri Ramu Srivatsa.

 

For both homa and pooje, everyone will do the sankalpa and will take part but one couple will represent us as it is practical and just as per the request of the priests. It will be an opportunity of life time in this land to see and be part of the detailed pooje/homa as per our Madhwa SampradAya.

2.30pm - 4.30pm - Visit to Malibu Temple

 

5.30pm - 7.00pm - Taratamya Bhajane

Open for pari-pari activities. Visiting Santa Monica Beach and head back home. Please suggest if there is any nearby place suitable for all to visit. The plan is to leave early to be fresh for Monday morning grind .

 

Teertha Prasada is available in the temple @ 12.30 PM for those who need.

 

Few things to note:

 

We have booked for hotels in and around the temple area for around $50 per night. If you need a hotel room for Friday and Saturday night, please let us know.

 

Please do bring fruits, flowers, stotra books, dasara pada books and a lot of energy with you as we will dedicate our entire day to Lord Sri Krishna.

 

Please have some snacks during travel and for breakfast on Sunday.

 

Please let your friends and family know about this and request everyone to join in and get the blessings of Sri Hari Vayu and GurugaLu. If you have space in your car/van, please let one of us know. You can help accomodate someone who needs a ride.

We will as a group donate for the pooje, homa, teertha prasada, dakshine, vegetables, grocery and other expenses. We are collecting $101(cash please) per family to cover these expenses.
