Below is a clarification by Sri Acharya Rachuri on one of the email strings posted on the other group.

Lets take this cue and comply with it.

MYP, as a policy discourages piracy and sharing of any audio/video content on our .

Please make sure when you send any pdf / other print content, its an approved version by the publishing institutes / establishments / organisations.

We would do our best to adhere to these norms.

As per the express orders of Sri Swamiji, all his audios are copyrighted and hence should not be publicly distributed without express permission of Sri Swamiji or concerned people whom Sri Swamiji himself has nominated for the purpose. As Sri Harish Rao has rightly pointed out, to prevent issues of piracy and to protect the privacy of the content, we request learned devotees not to indulge in public sharing of the audios of Sri Swamiji. At the same time, Sri Swamiji with a lot of concern for the online madhwa community has taken several steps and has arranged to provide his pravachanas on www.uttaradimath. org, the official website of Sri Uttaradi Math. Interested devotees can listen to this and many other audios from the

audio gallery. If you liked a particular speech of Sri Swamiji and would like to share with others, you can always give the link to the official site which originally hosted that audio instead of publicly sharing the mp3 files. For the convenience of devotees, occassional free download of swamiji's speeches and LIVE WEBCASTS are also provided from time to time. With lot of efforts, several upanyasa are also made available by the Math in high-quality CD format which everyone can purchase and listen at their convenience and enhance their Jnana & Bhakti.

We request everyone to co-operate with the Math authorities on this issue and prevent piracy of Adhyatmic content.

before you share any pravachana of any yathigaLu openly on the internet like this,

plese check with the concerned Mutt authorities about getting a clearance for the same.

 

As such there are lot of issues with piracy and privacy.

If the authorities say its ok, pls go ahead and I know its for enhancement of our own jnAna & bhakti.
