Haraye namah. The section on the appreciation of service to great people referred to as mahatsevaa prashamsaa prakaranam came to an end recently at the Simhageeta web

site. A significant aspect that we can see in this section is the

emphasis that Sri Hari lays on respecting and serving Brahmanaas. He

says he is upakrita,

greateful to those who respect and serve Brahmanaas even if such

persons are insulting or demeaning lord Hari himself. He does not just

say so but has demonstrated his respects to Naarada who visited Dwaraka

to see the glory of Krishna's family life with 16000 wives. Similar

was his action when sage Bhrigu kicked him on the chest. In both the

cases, he washed the feet of these visiting Brahmanaas and sprinked the

water on his head. He prides being addressed as brahmanyadeva, the God of Brahmanaas. Most

of us in this group are born Brahmanaas. We should be proud that God

loves us so much. Are we receprocating? Do we deserve so much of

respect that God is deposing? Let us introspect. If there are ways

for improving and inching forward, let us utilize them. Those

interested in reading the slokas of the above section (It has just 10

slokas) with simple meaning and Sreedhari Teeka may please visit http://simhageeta.wikidot.com/forum/t-146663/service-to-yogis. The original slokas are provided in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil Scripts

apart from Sanskrit and English. Thanks and regardsRavindranath Kadlabaal.
