Guest guest
Sri Satya Abhinava Teertha's Aradhana is being celebrated at his Moola Brindavana, Nachiarkovil (10 kms from Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu). Aradhana days in 2009: 5, 6, 7 June.An interesting anecdote from his life history: One fine morning, Swamiji was performing pooja on the banks of Krishna river. On the other bank, there was a battle going on between Hindus and Muslims invaders. The victorious Muslim army crossed the banks of the river in the afternoon, and demanded that the swamiji give up all his (Matha's) posessions. Swamiji convinced the army to wait until the pooja was over, and to partake of the Teertha Prasada. After Teertha Prasada, the army miraculously turned gentle and instead of robbing the swamiji, themselves gifted the matha with villages and gold before leaving the place. It is to be noted that Swamiji was a simple cook in his poorvashrama.- B. Sarvothaman
