Guest guest
Dear Haribhakthas, Today, is the aradhana of Sri Swarnawarna Theertharu.  Below is the brief history.   Sri Gopinathao Vijayathe  Sri Sri Swarnawarna Prasurama Theertharu.(1400 to 1420)  Peethadipathi, Sri Padmanapa Theetha parampara.  Vasuthathala vikyatham Vairagyathi Gunarnavam Veda Vedantha Chathuram Swarnawarna Gurum bhajhe Aradhana – Jyesta Bahula Chouthi 8th Peethadipathi in the parampara of Sri Sri Padmanapa Theetharu He ruled the vedantha samrajya between 1400 to 1420 Ashrama Gurugalu – Sri Satyavratha Theertharu Ashrama Shishyaru – Sri Sripadarajaru (Sri Lakshminarayana munigalu) Brindavana: Sri Rangam  Sri Parasurama Theertharu, 8th peethadipahi in the Sri Padmanapa Theerha parampara. He was shining like a gold because of his tapas. Hence he was called as Sri Swarnawarna Prasurama Theertharu, later it shortened to Sri Swarnawarna Theertharu. His greatest contribution to the society is identification of Sri Lakshminaraya as his successor, moulded him and made him as Sri Lakshminarayana munigalu.  During 1412, Sri Swarnavarna Theetharu was touring in the regions of Chennapatna. One day, his samsthana was near the Abbur village, with the intention to camp at Abbur. Sri swamigalu was sitting in the mena with devara pettige. It was the evening time. Swamiji, sitting in his mena, saw the small boy who was with his grazing cows. He asked the boy “how much distance the village isâ€. The small boy replied, See me, See sun, See the grazing cows. This implies that, I am a small boy, it is evening time, grazing cows are moving, so the village is very near. Then swamiji reached Abbur village and was cordially invited by Sri Purushothama Theertharu, the famous Sri Brahmanya Theethara ashrama gurugalu.  Sri Swamiji narrated the incident to Sri Purushothama theertharu and enquired about the boy. The boy along with his parents came to the Mutt. Sri Swarnawarnaru asked the parents to give the boy to him for the loka kalyana. The parents refused to give, as already one of the members of the family is peethathipathi (Sri Brahmanya Theetharu – Sri Brahmanya theetharu and Sri Sripadarajaru are cousins. Their mothers are own sisters).  Sri Purushothama Theertharu insisted for the gifting of their son to Swamiji and finally parents accepted the gurugala order. Later, Sri Swarnawarna Theertharu retunred to Sri Rangam, and did the upanayana for the balaka, gave sanyasa ashrama, gave Sri Lakshminaryana munigalu title and sent to Sri Vibhudenra Theertharu for the further studies in vedantha.  Sri Lakshminarayana munigalu returned to Sri Swarnawarna Theertharu, after finishing the studies. He was installed in the vedantha samrajya of Sriman Madwacharya.  In 1420, Sri Swrnawarna theertharu did the brindavana pravesha. His brindavan is also unique. All other yathigalu brindavan colour is black. But his brindavan is of light yellow colour. It is interesting to note that his brindavan is the only brindavan withing the 7 streets of Sri Ranganatha temple. Brindavan is in the 3rd street from the temple garbhagudi.  Sri Rangam is a very important place for all the vaishnavas. Sri Vyasarajaru offered his grantha Chandrika to Ranganatha here, did pranadevara prathita inside the ranganatha temple to coincide with Chandrika grantha mangala. Various madhwa yathigala moola brindavans are available (Sri Sripadaraja mutt, Sri Vyasaraja Mutt and Sri Raghavendra swamy mutt). Sri Sripadaraja composed his famous devaranama “Kangalithyathako, kaveri rangana nodatha†here. In his devaranama, his mentions about the Chandrapushkarani which is inside the temple complex.  More description has been given on Sri Sripadarajaru rather than Sri Swarnawarnaru. For every gurugalu, praising the shisya infront of his gurugalu would make the guru to become utmost happy. Likewise in Sripadarajara history, Sri Vyasarajaru occupies major portion.        Today, Jyesta Bahula Chouthi, aradhana of gurugalu, Sri Swanawarnaru. We will do chintana on him, to get gnana and bhakthi, which leads to vairagya.  let Hayavadana Rangavittalathmaka Sri Gopinatha devaru, great guru Sri Swarnawarnaru and Sri Sripadarajaru blesses all.  The srirangam mutt has been renovated by the present senior swamiji with the help of local metathikari Sri Raghothmachar. The mutt serves as a major spiritual centre for all the madhwas who visits Sri Rangam. Hari bhakthas are invited to visit Sri Mutt to obtain the blessings of Gurugalu.  Sri Krishnarpanamasthu   Thanks and kind regards, Murali Krishnan Hebbani Srinivas Hand phone: +91-98800 63823 Pl. visit http://sripadarajamutt.org/news/ 1 of 1 Photo(s)
