Guest guest
The Aradhana of SRINIDHI TEERTHA was celebrated on 25th june. The pontiff who lived in the 15th century was the 6th in the lineage from Sri Madhwacharya, in the Balegaru Mutt . The Upaasana Moorthy of Balegaru Mutt is " Trinetra Narasimha " .The current pontiff is Sri Raghubhooshana Teertha, who succeeded Sri Raghumaanya Teertha . The Brindavana of Srinidhi Teertha, which has rich carvings on it, faces towards Srirangam, and is located on the banks of Kaveri, in the village Anichampalayam, which is located around 2 kms from Paramathi Velur, (30 kms from Namakkal on NH7 and can also be reached via Karur - - Paramathi Velur not to be confused with the bigger/popular Vellore) . The Brindavana is managed by a trust of families belonging to the village, which is registered at Namakkal . Convenient facilities have been developed for accommodation of devotees close to the mutt . It is interesting to note that the Aradhana usually coincides with the onset of the Rath Yatra at Puri Jagannath temple . In the 15th century, Anichampalayam was selected to preserve the Sarvamoola Granthas, thanks to it ideal / remote location. coincidentally, the present day pincode starts with 637.The greatness of the swamiji is highlighted by the fact that blessings are showered upon all devotees, irrespective of their caste or creed . Even to date, there is a particular person of Muslim faith , who regularly visits the Brindavan to pay respects .- B. Sarvothaman
