A Collection of Mangala

Padagalu

Sri Jagannathadasaru has

written this Tattva suvali and gifted to his daughter-in-law Gopamma who lost her husband “Damodhara†in the

young age to help her to come out from the agony of the pain. This Tattva suvali is written in Tripaadi(

Three Charans) and in Janapaada style and it is easy to learn and recite. Tattva

suvali means Tattva+Su+Vali . Tathava means True SU means (in Kannada) Mangala or Shubha

and Vali (in Sankrit ) Paada or Salu

means Row continuous line or Range). Tattva

suvali deals with the Mahimas of Lord Vishnu and his family. Stuthis or Stotras start from Tathwaabimani

Devathas to Paramathama . This is a nice poetic description which will reach

the people.

Tattva

suvali is

based on great works of Brahma sutra Bhashya,Bhagavatha, Upanishads ,Tatparya

Nirnanya , Thirtha prabhanda ,Vamana, Garuda, Brahmanada,Purans, Yukthimaillka,Vishnu

Rahashye, Sri Sumadhwavijaya , HariVamsa and othe famous works.

The Tattva suvali became

famous on those days many women started reciting this Tattva suvali when they were

doing regular household works. I think Sri Jagannathadasaru has found easiest

way to help women in knowing importance of Lord Hari in simple Kannada language.

After Sri

Harikathaamruthasara Dasaru has written

“AnuBhavaTarangini†but this kruthi is not available . In the Tattva suvali

there are more than 1200 suvalis present

but only 454 Suvalis are available

today.

Tattva suvali contains

the stuthis like Ganesha,Suryadevaru,Chandra, , Sri Tulasi, ,Vaisha deva

prakara, Maha Rudra devaru Stuthi, Pranadevaru stuthi, Brahma Devara Stuthi, Rukumini

Swayamvara, Sri Krishana Stuthi,Dasavathara Stuthi, Sri Venkateshwara Stuthi,

Mayavadha Kandana ,Sri Rukumini Vilasa

,Sri BhooDurga Stuthi and many more to

the list. Among the Navagrahas Dasaru only taken Surya,Chandra,Mangala,Budha,Guru

,Shukra and Shani but dasaru has mentioned Rahu and Kethyo as chaya grahas.

In the whole Haridasa Sahithya

Brahama Devara Stuthi is one of the highlight of the Tattva suvali .

Tattva

suvali is an excellent composition of Sri Jaganathadasaru which focus Sri

Madhwacharya’s philosophy and we should remember the dasaru for this

composition. The dasaru has written 21 stuthis on his Guru Sri Gopaladasaru (is

avthar of Ganesha) this shows that he has a great respects on his Guru Sri

Gopaladasaru who has given 40 years of life to Sri Jagananthadasaru. With the order from Sri Vijaya dasaru

The

Jagannatha dasaru says when we want to

achieve good qualities and to do good deeds we must require Sharada Ramana’s

sympathy . With their sympathy Sri Jagannatha Vittala’s will bestow mercy on

us.

Dasaru

also says when human beings start living forgetting God or neglecting GOD the life leads to

destruction in their life and it is a

great sin on their part. By acquiring happiness, money and power without the

mental recitation of the Lord Sri Hari’s name the life is waste. At all the times Dasaru begs the Lord Sri

Hari who gives strength to serve you .

This

is an excellent contribution by Sri Jagananatha dasaru and this is can be

possible to dasaru’s like Sri Jagannnatha dasaru who are Aproksha Jananis and

we all pray him with utmost respect who showed us way towards Lord Sri Hari and

we should salute the dasaru for

enlighten us in Sri Madhwacharya’s philosophy. This article is brought you on

the occasion of 200th Aradhane of Sri Jagannatha dasaru and I close

this article by quoting the charama Slokha of Sri Jagannatha dasavarya.
