Sri Sankarshana Wodeyaru - Brief life history

Namaskara,

 

On the eve of Sri Jagannatha Dasara Aradhana, I am attempting to give you a brief life history of Sri Sankarshana Wodeyaru, who had written a great commentary on Sri Harikathamruthasara. His brundavana is at Polur, Tamilnadu. My teacher, late Sri N.S. Lakshmana Rao of Arani who was His staunch devotee was conducting aradhana for more than five decades without fail and had also written a book on Sri Sankarshanaru. I spoke to his son, Sri N.L. Tirumal Rao recently and expressed my wish. He blessed me and advised me to go ahead.

 

With due respect to my teacher, I would like to present here, with my limited knowledge, the life history of Sri Sankarshana Wodeyaru.

 

I am also thankful to Sri Raghu of Polur who immediately sent me the photographs of Brundavana of Sri Sankarshanaru.
