Guest guest Posted October 3, 2009 Report Share Posted October 3, 2009 Dear Devotees of Sri RAghavendra Swamy, I have lot of good news to report from Mantralayam, Consider this an Official email communication from Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha, I spoke to Vittal Joshi Avaru, Son in law of Swamiji of MAntralayam and here is the latest news, he is directing operations for rescue in Mantralayam. Here are facts, I will continue to keep you posted twice a day until normal operations resume for PRO of Raghavendra Swamy Matha: 1) Only 500 people remain in mantralayam on top of roof tops of Lodges 2) Mantralayam Srinivas Devaru (installed by Guru Rayaru) mandir being in top of hill, provided shelter for all the people from floods. 3) Many food packets were dropped for people who are on rooftops 4) These people cannot be reached because helicopters are not able to get to them. 5) Sri Raghavendra Swamy Matha hired 6 helicopters to rescue people 6) These helicopters flew 28 missions to rescue people from Mantralayam rescuing many 1000s of people. 7) Rescue mission started at 11 am on October 2nd 2009 8) Sri Mantralayam Swamiji wanted all the sick, young kids to be saved first before saving him 9) From 11 am until 5 pm, All the sick, patshala Kids, Senior people and devotees who needed help were airlifted 10) Swamiji of Mantralayam after requests made by many to be airlifted before dusk, due to the risks involved in airlifting after dusk,Swamiji agreed to airlifted last. 11) Swamiji did not Skip Single day of pooja to Moola Rama Devaru, He continues to do the Moola Rama Devaru Pooja from the place where he was airlifted to. 12) Brindavana is not under water, the water has reached only upto the 2 steps that are used before climbing on to the Moola Brindavana. 13) Please see the latest pic from mantralayam to believe the truth : http://www.gururaghavendra.net/srsmatha_floods.jpg 14) Team of SRS Matha management are trying to reach Mantralayam through road to provide more food and water, but due to the roads being cut off they are unable to reach Mantralayam 15) Waters are staring to recede. Please do not believe the rumors, Guru Raghavendra with the help Hari, Vayu devaru are taking care of the situation in Mantralayam.
