Dear Guru Raghavendra Devotees,Please read the addendum for more details:1) Sri Raghavendra Mutt Swamiji Sri Suyateendra Teertha Swamiji performed Moola Rama Samsthana Pooje in the Mutt premises along with regular Pooja to Sri Rayaru.2) Sri Raghavendra Mutt Swamiji and Sri Vishvesvateertha Swamiji of Pejawar mutt visited the villages affected by flooding around Mantralayam addressed the villagers and offered to help the needy in all possible ways.3) Sri Raghavendra Mutt Swamiji assured the flood affected victims of making arrangements for meals at the Annapoorna Food bank run by SRS mutt for next 1month.4) SRS Mutt is already feeding atleast 6000 villagers a day.5) Sri Pejawar Swamiji blessed n distributed clothing etc to few villagers and gave some more to be distributed directly to each home and assured

to come again to help with more.6) TTD, RSS and Satya Sai Organizations. and few more orgs. and teams and many individuals have come forward and are helping in the rehabilitation efforts in the service of Sri Rayaru...with their Tanu, Mana and dhanaMeanwhile, Mutt started new centres for Medical assistance and dispensing of Medicines ( received from Bangalore and Hyderbad) as prescribed by Doctors team of doctors from Hyderbad and Kurnool have offered their services. more are been plannedsoon.7) Pejawar Mutt swamiji had Darshan and performed aarti to Moola Brindavans of Sri Rayaru and Sri Vadeendraru in the presence of SRS mutt Swamijis and large no of shishyas and devotees. Also, was pleasantly surprised to see minimal / no damage inflicted on the structures of Manatralayam SRS Mutt's buildings. Later, SRS mutt and Pejawar Swamiji addressed the press jointly..Sri Pejawar Swamiji answering a question from

press on Udupi Mutts contributions, mentioned that 2 teams of Sri Puttige Mutt are already doing Seva and more to follow in all possible way 8) Govt has provided Fire engines which will hose and after having cleaned (with forced water) the main buildings of SRS Mutt will further takeup cottages,guest houses etc from Silt deposited by Thunghabadra river flooding.9) Most of the damage is inflicted on Shop keepers and, villagers belongings being lost.10) SRSMUTT is working with Government to build a flood bank and a comprehensive drainage system and also enhance the wall etc in Mantralayam, so such disasters can be averted in the future.11) Flood waters had entered ground floors of SRSMUTT cottages, guest houses etc and choultries. Bed and other items in the rooms have been damaged. Officially there is no death toll in families of Mantralayam.12) SRS Mutt had stored food items expecting 1 lakh devotees for

the upcoming Kalakarshana of Sri Sushmeendra Theertharu Swamiji, the food items were entired wiped out. This loss could tally close to 1.50 crores.13) Many computers, CCTV cameras and other office supplies and items, Electrical wirings n transformers etc are damaged too.14) Visually though not visible, Structural engineering experts have offered to visit in 1-2 weeks to see n assess the scientfic structural damage if any, to the SRS Mutt buildings in Mantralayam.15) Swamiji has setup a separate account for Voluntary contributions from Devotees of Sri Rayaru across globe, for rehabilation and following are the details:A/c no 30912927639 of SBI, Mantralayam Branch IFSC code SBIN0002755A/c SRS Mantralayam Mutt flood relief and rehabilitation Fund16) Main bridge linking Raichur and Mantralayam is severly damaged and may take 6 months - 1 Year to rebuild. Dear Devotees of Guru Raghavendra,

Here is the latest official update from Mantralayam SRS Mutt (treat this as an official communique from SRSMUTT, Mantralayam), lot of progress has been made and lot more to be done:

 

1) Pejawar Swamiji and Sri Raghavendra Mutt Swamiji visited the villagesaffected by flooding around Mantralayam.

 

2) Sri Raghavendra Mutt Swamiji invited the flood affected victims and have 2meals a day at the Annapoorna Food bank run by SRS mutt for next 1 month.

 

3) SRS Mutt is already feeding at least 6000 villagers a day.

 

4) RSS and TTD have come forward and helped in the rehabilitation efforts.

 

5) Pejawar Mutt swamiji was surprised to see minimal damage inflicted on thestructure of Manatralayam SRS Mutt's buildings.

 

6) Most of the damage was inflicted on Shop keepers and other villagersbelongings being lost.

 

7) Govt has provided Fire engines, who will hose and clean the buildings ofSRS Mutt from Silt and Dirt deposited by Tungabhadra river flooding.

 

8) Main bridge linking Raichur and Mantralayam is severely damaged and maytake up to 1 year to rebuild. If devotees have to visit Mantralayam from Raichurthey have to take longer route which will be 43 Kms.

 

9) SRSMUTT is working with Government to enhance the flood wall inMantralayam, so such disasters can be averted in the future.

10) SRS MUTT has had damage inflicted to ground floors of SRSMUTT lodges andchoultries and Bed and other items in the rooms seems to have been damaged.

 

11) SRS Mutt had stored food items expecting 1 lakh devotees for the upcomingKalakarshana of Sushmeendra Theertharu Swamiji, the food items were entirelywiped out. This loss could tally close to 50 lakhs.

 

12) Many computers and other office supplies and items were damaged inSRSMUTT.

 

13) Structural engineering experts to visit this weekend to see asses theexact scientific structural damage if any to the SRS Mutt buildings inMantralayam.

14) Swamiji has setup fund for collecting money for rehabilitation anddetails will be provided tomorrow.

 

15) Many ministers have visited Mantralayam and have pledged their support dueto increasing pressure from the general public to do something.

 

16) Sri Vithal Joshi avaru is in touch with people who can provide medicinesfor treating the sick in Mantralayam. There are doctors stationed there takingcare of treating the sick with the medicine supply there.

 

17) The ministers have promised to provide 10 crore rupees to the Matha forrehabilitation of Mantralayam, which would include cost for extending theflood wall, rehabilitating the Shop Keepers and compensating the villagers fortheir loss and loss of material in SRSMUTT.
