Shri Satyatma

Tirtha Swamiji of

Shri Uttaradi Math, has expressed his happiness over the overwhelming

response received from the entire Madhwa Samaja to the call given by His

Holiness for extending help in every manner to the flood victims. Donations

are pouring in from all corners. For the past three days, Students of Shri Jayateertha Vidyapeetha and several

volunteers have been going around various localities such as Srinagar,

Padmanabhanagar, Hanumantha Nagar in Bangalore and collecting contributions

from Maths and householders. All the items received have been stocked at Shri

Jayateertha Vidyapeetha. Truck Loads of Food and Clothes were dispatched to

Bagalkot, Bijapur, Kurnool, Gadag and other affected areas. Volunteers of

Vishwa Madhwa Maha Parishat have been visiting the affected places and

distributing Food & Clothes from Truck Loads received from Bangalore and

various other branches.

Report from VMMP Bijapur

By the grace of his

Holiness Shri Shri

1008 Shri Satyatma Teertharu Swamiji at every step and under

the guidance of scholars, we had organized camp of food, medical check-up and

cloth distribution in Tonashyal

village which is affected by flood. The village was covered by

don river because of heavy rains, which was cut off for four days and water

flooding in village. Many houses have fallen with no place to cook. I am

sharing some of the photos for your information.

More than 1500 people are

provided food for last four days.

 

3-10-2009 and 4-10-2009 Medical camp at Tonshyal Village. Total medication provided

to 600 people.

 

6-10-2009 Medical camp at Kattnhalli village is in progress.

 

More than 1 lakh houses are damaged.

 

Few lakh hectors of crop damaged.

 

People are house less, crop less with burden of loan for damaged farm cultivation.

for the flood relief fund in our street under the leadership of NAVARATNA

SRINIVAASACHAR yesterday and it is remitted to Karnataka bank account. ee namma

HOLEHONNURINA BAGAVADBAKTARU.

Math's Flood Relief Programme

By

the order of Shri Shri 1008 Shri Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji of Shri

Uttaradi Math, several volunteers of Vishwa Madhwa Maha Parishat are

visiting various places and helping the people affected in the recent floods.

Food and clothes are being distributed in various places such as

Tonashala

of Bijapur,

Ganadala

, Idapanur, Talamari, Mallapur, Atkur, Buradipada, Yapaladanni, Sarjapur,

Elebicchali, Tungabhadra of Raichur,

Suggene

halli, Jeeraganur of Hospet,

Velugonda

of Mahabhoobnagar,

Gurugundla

of Siriguppa,

Shridharagadde

and Jamakhandi.

Shri

Satyatma Tirtha Swamiji personally visited Ballapura and Hale Nelloodi Vilages

in Bellary Dist. He comforted the flood victims and made arrangements for

food for the needy.

 

Shri

Uttaradi Math is

continuing the Distribution of Food and Clothes in a large scale. Apart from

this Shri Swamiji expressed his desire to extend permanent relief to the flood

victims. Speaking about his plans Shri Swamiji said " The

help we have been extending so far is to bring immediate temporary relief to

the Victims. All the affected people need a permanent relief. This can be said

to have been achieved only when they can lead their lives normally as before.

To realize our goals we need your help. Come, let us join hands in this noble

cause. Let us stretch our helping hand in this hour of need exceeding our

capabilities”.
