hare srinivasaYour ZEETV Kannada Channel is advertising for a new serial scheduled to start from 2.11.2009 with a title "Purandara vittala", a comedy serial.The Serial is titled "Purandara Vittala". Please note that Sri Purandaradasaru whose ankita is "Purandara vittala" is a renowned poet in Kannada. He is the avatara of Narada Maharshi. In your serial in Kannada they are giving a comedy touch for the said serial for the characters Purandara + Vittala. I talked to your Manager in Kannada Zee TV, Mr Prasad Alva. In the serial they had a song titled "Tikkala Tikkala Purandara Vittala". After we wrote to them in Bangalore about the same they removed the line Tikkala Tikkala. Tikkala does give a bad meaning in Kannada as loose, mental like that.Thanks for your Bangalore Kannada Channel for having removed the Said Line Tikkala. but but butThey have not changed the title of the Serial. They have to change the title of the serial from Purandara Vittala to some thing of their choice.PLEASE NOTE : PURANDARA DASARU IS NOT AN ORDINARY MAN. He is a devatha Swaroopi. You can't make comedy with his name.Inspite of our repeated reminders, requests, your Bangalore Team is reluctant to change the name of the serial, which may lead to serious problems with the Brahmin Community. Today, you have included Purandara dasaru for your marketing of the serial. Tomorrow, you may use Mahatma Gandhi, Ambedkar, Nehru, Sri Krishna Paramathma, Ramachandra as comedy characters.We will never allow such personalisation of the devotional characters. Let them have a general name but not Purandara Vittala. It hearts
