Guest guest
shrI mula rAmo vijayate shrI gururAjo vijayate namaskAra all, With the help of few Madhwa Bandhus, who were very close to Sri SGP Char, a group of volunteers have come forward to initiate this effort of sharing his English Translation of Srimad Hari KathAmrutha sAra. Sri SGP Char lived a very humble life, spent good part of his life learning and sharing the siddhantha with his fellow Madhwas. His has done a significant contribution to mAdhva philosphical works by bringing out the translation of Sri Harikathamrutha Saara of Sri Jagannatha Daasaru in English. His writing style is simply magnificent and now any non-kannada speaking person can read and get benefit of Sri Harikathamrutha saara. Sri SGP Char was fully immersed in Sri HarikathAmritasara most of the time. He has presented this as an offering to Sri Jagannatha Daasaru. The translation is faithful to the original work in every way. It is a monumental task to translate such complex work in to English and to maintain the true meaning as intended by Jagannatha Daasaru from beginning to end. During his meeting with Vidwan Sri Mahuli Acharya at Mumbai, his work was commended and got accolades by him. Sri SGP Char passed away couple of months ago. Our prayers and condolences to S.P.Char's family and our prayers to Sri Hari to bless his soul and grant him the sadgathi. Our aspiration is to get this book published and release in time for next Mettilotsava or Jagannatha daasara Aradhane at USA and in India. All of us in the loukika world can not thank Sri SGP Char enough for his works on Dvaita philosophy and literature and making them available to the common man. We are immensly thankful to Smt Veena Char, wife & Sri Loknath Char, son of Sri SGP Char and Dvaita list organizers for letting us share this ocean of knowledge with all our Madhwa Bandhus. We truely hope this enormous effort of posting one shloka a day for next several years would enhance the understanding of Sri HarikaThamrita sAra and increase jnAna, bhakti and vairAgya among our MAdhwa Bandhus. We shall start with a message that Sri SGP Char himself had given sometimes back.
