Guest guest Posted December 6, 2009 Report Share Posted December 6, 2009 Hare shrinivasa, Some more important facts on Shri Akshobhya teertharu (1278 – 1365 AD) : 1) First to become yati(sanyasi) at young age (at 10-12year old) among Shri Padmanabha, shri Narahari and Shri Madhava teerthah of Shri Madhwacharyara shishyaru. 2) First to start parampare of installing (pratisthapane) of SHRI MUKHYAPRANA-- near Biligiri (near shimoga-koodli road) he sketched first mukhyaprana picture on the ~12feet rock, using Angara and it is about 7-8 feet tall. At the feet of shri mukhyaprana, he sketched the picture of himself. Still it is seen at this place. 3) First to sketch Shri Narasimha picture on the rock using Angara at MULABAGALU, which was got the pooja from Shri Padmanabhateertha. Also the Narasimha teertha(pond) is greatest boon till today, for all devotees. 4) The mruttika vrindavana parampare was started with Shri Akshobhyateertha vrindavana along with Shri jayateertha in Rajawade of Anegondi. 5) Only Second yati to get RajaMaryade/Rajavaibhava after Shri Narahari teertha. Anegondi King was blessed by ShriAkshobhyateertha who gave him a rare shalagrama which blessed the king with a son. In the memory of this king constructed a huge Bathing place at Koodli, still it is seen without much damage. 6) This rajamaryade gave platform to conduct a historical event to defeat Shri Vidyaranya (1269-1387 AD).
