Guest guest
Madhwa’s Teachings. 27-12-09. Release of CDs on the Aitareya Bhashya and other works by Vidwan Vidyasimhacharya. Dear Reader, The on-going discourses on Shri. Madhwacharya’s bhashya on the Aitareya Upanishad by Vidwan Vidyasimhacharya in the jnyana satra now under way at the Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha has been attracting larger attendance as days pass. So interesting are the discourses that many devotees have requested that they be made available in durable form-CDs, so that they could send them to their relatives. One devotee has already sponsored the Aitareya Bhashya CD. The jnyana satra has created a greater interest in the Vidwan’s discourses and the resultant demand for CDs. Enquiries are pouring in for CDs on other subjects too, that has compelled the Vidyapeetha to search its audio archives . At the moment, the Vidyapeetha has audio clips of the Vidwan’s discourses on the Bhagawat (11th skandha) and the Mhahabharata(Udyag Parva and Vana Parva). The material is enough to release 2 CDs of the Bhagawata and 5 CDs of the Mahabharata. It is considering the release of 7 CDs very shortly. Also it has plans to release CDs on the Bhagawata of the forthcoming sapthah scheduled to be held at Jogeshweri from 5th to 10th January 2010. Sponsorship fee for 1 CD is Rs. 1300; it will bear the sponsor’s name or the one as desired by the sponsor. Vidwan M R Gopalacharya, the founder of the Satyadhyana Veedyapetha, had a dream, a goal, of spreading Madhwa philosophy far and wide, and his illustrious son Vidwan Vidhyashimacharya has been perusing the goal with a missionary zeal. Now there is an opportunity for us, in a small measure, to translate the dream into reality. Some years ago, the writer heard the Vishnu Sahasra nama CD by Bharat Ratna Dr, M. S. Subbalakshmi being played at Badrinath on the Brahma muhoorta, when his friend spontaneously responded with great pride: “A voice from deep south echoes in far north”. Likewise, it is felt that the Vidwan’s discourses be heard in all corners of the country and even beyond. Readers interested in sponsoring the CDs may contact Shri Venugopalacharya Gudi, a senior student of the Vidypeetha for details. He may be contacted on mobile no. 9869113161 between 2 pm and 9 pm. With regards, Ramachandra Tammannacharya Gutti 9819550626.
