Guest guest
Huli-Raya Bhandappa Banda Article based on incidents of Chippagiri Nilaya Shri Vijayadasaru -Chippagiri Mohan Part – 12 After Tirumala Brahmastovas Shri Vijayadasaru along with some of his disciples walked several kilometers and crossed many hurdles and reached the Ahobila .After seeing the UgraNarasimha, his eyes became wet and his heart is filled with happiness . He instantly wrote devaranama on the UgraNarasimha. It is the sacred place for the Madhwas where the Demon Hiraynakashupu was killed by the Lord Shri Hari and protected the BhaktaPrahalada. Here the Shri hari is in the Ugra Narasimaha(Ugra to dushta people). Shri Bhavisameera Vadirajaru also given beautiful description of this place in his TirthaPrabhanda. The abode is located in the deep forests. After having darshan Shri Vijayadasaru started for Shrishaila to have darshan of MahaRudra Devaru for going to Shrishailam he has to cross many hills and deep forests they have to face many hardships . In forests they have to face the bites of insects . The route is full of thorns and that too they have to walk with bare foot. While travelling they came across many poisonous snakes and lizards. In the after noon the sun is very hot and they are walking on the rocks they are not able to put steps on the rocks. At that time they came across a old tiger is coming towards them by seeing the tiger the disciples afraid and they tried to ran away from that place Shri Vijayadasaru told them not to move and he said do not run away I will tackle the problem . After seeing the Shri Vijayadasaru the Tiger stood silently 100 meters away . The Tiger is looking very big and its teeth are very sharp. Its paws are very sharp. The disciples astonished after seeing the tiger with out harming any body and they thought because of Shri Vijayadasaru and they also thought if Shri vijayadasaru is not them they would have lost their lives and prayed the Shri vijayadasaru for saving them in their hearts.. Shri Vijayadasaru came to know the status of the Tiger thru his divyadrushti . It is a Sujeevi due to Prarabdha Karma it took the birth of the Tiger and it is a Bhakta of Shri Venu Gopala in the Poorva Janma that’s why he wants to help the tiger. He took his beloved Lord venugopala diety from his bag and placed on the cloth and he did a pooja to the Lord. After that he went for Meditation(Phanidana). He also prayed on behalf of the Tiger . By seeing this the Tiger eyes are filled with tears. The animals even though they cannot speak but they will perform with actions. It stood with Two front legs in folded and did a big Namaskarams to Shri Vijayadasaru thanking him for helping in the road to Mukthi and fallen down and lost its life. The Disciples was seeing watching the incident silently and asked the Shri Vijayadasaru the reason for the Tiger Behavaior. Shri Vijayadasaru explained them clearly what he has seen in the Divyadrusti. Shri Vijayadasaru requested his disciples to arrange funeral for the tiger and collected wood from that nearby place and burnt the body of the Tiger . After wards they took their bath in the lake nearby. They continued their journey I thank two hari-bhaktas who are helping me in reviewing this work and giving the inputs for this series.
