Very well, then. I contradict myself. > I am vast, I contain multitudes. " According to U.G. (especially in his " early years, " ) he would claim that the " multitudes " Walt Whitman (or just about anyone else except for himself) contains are simply multitudes of conditioning. Having thoroughly re-read what he said, my opinion of him has backslid somewhat. He apparently sees nothing but " conditioning interfering with the functioning of the physical organism. " He won't acknowledge that Awareness is prior to the physical organism; rather, he strongly insinuates that the physical organism is prior to Awareness. He also claimed repeatedly that " mankind is doomed, and that's the end of it. He does recommend the end of the spiritual search. Unfortunately, he claims that it is impossible without a " physical mutation " and " throwing off all conditioning, which exists in every cell of the body. " He says also that his condition (whatever it is) is due purely to " luck " and cannot be reproduced except by accident. He 'sees' nothing but the physical universe, which is very clear in his writings, and would very likely say awareness is purely a function of the brain (or part of the " thought sphere " surrounding the planet, which the brain taps into like an antenna).
