Dear Laura and Tim,

Elijah's mom broke the news Sunday. Monday we found out the

actual facts from his dad.

This happened around mid December and was a response by

Elijah to a poor grade at school for band. The

perfectionist in him just could not handle it. Anyway the

guidance counselor has put him into counseling for kids with

divorced parents. His band teacher says he has really

applied himself and is a changed person. His dad is

spending time with him just listening.

Your very kind words are much appreciated. It's tough to be

in a position where you cannot help someone that needs help.

With love,

Victor

Dear Victor,

Glad to hear about Elijah.

Sure is. :( Maybe this episode will give you a way

of helping him next time he gets upset because he

fails to live up to his own standards for himself -- you'll

be able to remind him of this episode, maybe, and

make him see the process in more perspective.

by the way, I printed one of your letters yesterday,

I forgot to tell you.

thanks for all the links you've been sending. Even if

I don't do anything with them immediately, I file them

away for the future, will get to them.

Love,

Laura
