The problem is that it is so obvious and easy, we tend to look for grand

states that we expect to happen in some kind of future. But ask " Who Am I "

and attend carefully to what happens next. Or " Who is sitting at the

computer " .....letting body/mind really RELAX - and watch. Or give a good

shout of PHAT like the text suggests. Theres the bright empty awareness isnt

there? then immediately a thought or perception of something or other will

pop in - perhaps a feeling - and at that moment you RECOGNIZE that arising,

no matter and not separate to it, what it is to actually be of the same

nature as your bright empty awareness. And you practice this. One of the

points of the text says that you do have to decide and have confidence. But

hey presto - freed from the habit of duality, splitting up subjects and

objects, events and someone they are happening to or is doing them. After

awhile mind spends most of its time relaxed and not obsessing over anything,

spacious as the sky and it becomes easier to watch arisings as a display of

awarenss. No struggle over anything at all because there is NOTHING which

is not just a glorious display of awareness of our essential being. In the

basic ground of our every day awareness - thoughts arise and dissolve,

thinking mind arises, or happy mind arises, or angry mind arises, or mind

creating subject and object arises. With each arising there is " birth " and

with each dissolution there is " death " and a return into presence of

awareness that knows no birth or death. But the important point is the

RECOGNITION that these arising are a display of awareness. Even when the

habit of separate self arises this too - a display - hearing, seeing,

thinking, feeling all a display of the Great Perfection. EMAHO!

The Tibetans say that its just a matter of getting used to it. A good

friend tells me - " all ya gotta do is maintain the view. "

Sorry to be so thick but Im not sure what you mean by " this " and how you'd

turn it into an article. Im always more comfortable with things that just

happen - whats below is all there is until the spirit moves again. But

thanks for enjoying.

Ive been posting via Victor as Im not great with this computer - its an iMac

and I bought it because it was pretty. I note people are on about a new chat

page or java or something - havent a clue what yer all on about - so

whatever gets posted from me is a demonstration of the miraculous.
