Guest guest
Dear Dan, At 11:12 AM 2/10/2000 -0500, you wrote: > " Dan Berkow, PhD " <berkowd >Dan: I agree. But then again, > maybe he did - it sounds very close to " omniscient " . I do feel I should relate a " spiritual experience " I had in attempting to see the " totality of conditioning without thought. " This was back sometime early last year. After reading the stuff at this URL thoroughly: http://www.kfa.org/poona58.html I was attempting to do just that... see the totality of all of society's conditioning, the conditioning of thousands of years, without thinking about it. As I was doing so, at some point a massive wave of incredible bliss overcame me (I don't believe there was a " me " experiencing it), and my body (literally) fell to the ground. It was something like 20 times the power of a sexual orgasm. I find this interesting. It could have been some sort of self-hypnosis, but I tend not to think so. I don't know if there were any " longer-term " effects than that. Since then, I have always felt there was indeed something to this " conditioning " thing. There really are no such things as " original thoughts, " since thought is based solely on memory, and memory is actually conditioning itself.
