For me, it's more than his teachings. It has something to do with the effect of his presence. Over and over, people walked up to him and *knew* the kinds of things we try to talk ourselves into knowing here. The big talk book is filled with episodes like that. Something remarkable obviously went on with that guy. And I feel a little of that while I read his written words. Something seems to come off the page and infect me.
