If that eludes you, I would be surprised :-) If the Zen path attracts you, there are a lot of good books, and many cities include at least one Zen meditation center of some sort. If you run into a Rinzai center you may be assigned a koan. Be aware that Rinzai Zen is " the way of effort, " so be prepared :-) >The more I learn the " confuseder " I get An excellent sign, and I hope it continues, until you get so confused that you drop all learning :-) But don't drop learning until you are fully in a " cloud of unknowing. There are so many contradictory viewpoints that eventually it is seen that mental accumulation of knowledge is worthless. >but your insight has made a lot of things clear. Guest guest
Thank you, Tim, I am (I was going to say working on) Zazen, in what I think what must be the simplest form. I drop my respiration , comfortably) to about 4-6 times a minute. I am just beginning to maintain some focus on just breathing. I appreciate your help, and will remain an empty cup. By the way, about 7 years ago I started writing about a fictional character named K'ang. The name came to me out of nowhere. If you'd like I can send you some of it for your critique and possible use. Let me know. I see now that K'ang was/is a part of me and my style of life.
