Guest guest Posted February 20, 2000 Report Share Posted February 20, 2000 I began by listening to sound tapes. The meditation tapes were silly to me. So I started listening to rapids, thunderstorms, rain, without music or words, and then I got to where I was able to listen to the relaxation tapes with the words that talk you down. So much is allowing it so it is really important just get used to listening through the sound tapes and then switch to Relaxation tapes with words. In time, the sound tapes are you background and you have complete control to talk yourself down. One of my favorites is where you standing by a pond and throw in a pebble watching the ripples. Then talk yourself into the relaxation, watch a candle burn and allow you Spirit to go out of body. It takes concentration and some learning how to allow yourself to unlimit oneself.
