Guest guest
Only when you translate a sensation as pain do you feel pain. Otherwise there is no pain. You guys want to get rid of pain and hold on to pleasure forever. The holy man tells you that this is possible. I know it is not. You can spend your lifetime trying to do this, but I know for certain that you will not succeed. You'll find out eventually. - UG Kick off your party with Invites. http://invites./

I perceive this as a problem that needs a solution. The Work is part of the process that relieves the pain. Space consciousness relieves the pain. Ok. Is it then correct to say that you don't like pain. What if your relationship with pain changed and you started liking it, you started looking forward to it. After all, pain does offer growth and learning opportunities. What if you started treating pain as a friendly messenger and not as an unwanted guest that you would rather not have. I am not asking you to actually change your relationship with the pain but, but, to simply experience how it would be to experience pain with the outlook of - I want this pain, I love this pain, I like this pain, this pain is so good, I am grateful to this pain - it brings me a message that I want to hear - let me hear what this pain is here to say. What it would be like to experience pain with no resistance, without not wanting it to be any other way. > > I've noticed that as space consciousness grows, the pain is less. > But I get lazy and sometimes it seems easier to just suffer than to > inquire. Have you ever tried saying " ok " to pain i.e. saying it is perfectly fine for me to 'feel hurt', I am fine 'feeling this pain', this pain brings a message, let me give it my Love, let me give it my full attention, let me just hear what it wants to say. > When there is at least *some* witness state, I feel > better, at peace. Who do you think complains about being attached to the ego, if not your ego? Who do you think says it sucks and hurts and wants it to stop, if not your ego? IOW... thinking this way, simply adds another layer of pain over what you already have! Thinking that I have a problem and you want to change it can come from two places. When it comes from the place of 'resistance', from the place of 'not liking it' it simply intensifies pain and makes it heavier, stickier. When it comes from the place of " acceptance " - it gives me opening, it gives you peace and it gives me SPACE to think Clearly!
