Guest guest
You are merely looking for new, better methods. I am not going to help you. Why in the hell are you looking for another solution? You will make out of what I am saying another solution, to be added to your list of solutions, which are all useless when it comes to actually solving your problems. If I suggest anything, directly or indirectly, you will turn it into another method or technique. I would be falsifying myself if I were to make any such suggestion. If anyone says there is a way out, he is not an honest fellow. He simply wants to market a product and hopes to convince you that it is superior to other products on the market. If another man comes along and says that there is no way out, you make of that another method. Sitting here discussing these things is meaningless, useless. That is why I am always saying to my listeners, " Get lost, please! " Having taken for granted the validity of all this holy stuff, having never questioned, much less broken away from it, you not only have learned how to live with it, but also how to capitalize on it. It is a matter of profiteering, nothing more. - UG Mail - Free email you can access from anywhere! /

Guest guest
UG on Ramana, while answering a question..... We have only a handful of flowers, which you can count on your fingers: Ramana Maharshi in recent times, Sri Ramakrishna, some other people. Not the claimants ( People who claim to be Gurus ) we have in our midst today, not the gurus -- I am not talking about them. It is amazing -- that man who sat there at Tiruvannamalai -- his impact on the West is much more than all these gurus put together -- very strange, you understand? He has had a tremendous impact on the totality of human consciousness -- that man living in one corner, you understand? I visited an industrialist in Paris. He is not at all interested in religious matters, much less in India; he is anti-Indian. (Laughs) So, I saw his photo there -- " Why do you have this photo? " He said " I like the face. I don't know anything about him. I'm not even interested in reading his books. I like the photo, so it's there. I'm not interested in anything about him. " Maybe such an individual can (I can't say 'can') help himself and help the world. Maybe. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////// When UG himself was seeking at the age of 21, he met Ramana once, and asked him the following Questions. UG : Can you give me what you have ? Ramana : ( No reply ) UG : I am asking " Whatever you have, can you give it to me ? " Ramana : I can give it to you, but can you take it ? UG was stunned. He says, I said to myself " If there is any individual in this world who can take it, it is me, because I have done so much Sadhana, seven years of sadhana. He can think that I can't take it, but I can take it. If I can't take it, who can take it? " -- that was my frame of mind at the time -- you know, I was so confident of myself. UG : Are there stages of enlightenment ? Ramana : No, You are either there or you are not. There are no steps leading to that. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Once UG remembered something that one of his friends had mentioned - Somebody went to Ramana Maharshi and said, " Bhagavan, I don't want anything. I only want moksha. " It seems Ramana did not say anything but continued to do whatever he was doing. At twelve o'clock everyone got up to go except for that man. Ramana got up too and was about to go. He said to the man, " If you don't want anything that is moksha, " and went away. Remarkable statement that was. That Ramana was a real McCoy. " UG continued, " Wanting moksha is also part of wanting. " Mail - Free email you can access from anywhere! /
