Guest guest
Kind, Humble Words from Sat Sandesh October 2000 Kind, Humble Words by Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj Kind hearts are the gardens, Kind thoughts are the roots; Kind words are the blossoms, Kind deeds are the fruits. The best way to become the abode of all qualifications is to have a sweet tongue, kind words, imbued with humility. One whose inner self is overflowing with bliss will be cheerful and have a sweet tongue. Out of the abundance of heart a man speaks.....Kind words spoken with humility are the quintessence of all virtues. If we have helped even one person by removing a little misery from his day, we have done a great service. With sweet words, with kind sympathy, share the unhappy burden resting upon our fellow-beings, or it spreads and grows as the days go by. Take the example of a train, you see? So many people gather together from different stations; when the train stops, some leave the train, others rush in. and if you make friends with those who are on the train, will it last long? No. For the time being, so long as they are with you, if you have sweet words, kind words, you will be friendly and the few hours on the journey will pass all OK. Love beautifies everything and if we learn to love everyone, all our imperfections can be washed away, especially by loving, kind words. The words that fall from your lips are charged with the feelings you entertain. The air blowing through fire gives you warmth, and the same passing over snow makes you cold. Your words take the coloring of your innermost sentiments. Those who are " vessels full of the honey-wine of love " in whom love of God and humanity is overflowing, will speak soothing words that color the mind. We must reform ourselves before we can reform others, but unfortunately we are always anxious to reform others. We should weed out all imperfections, one by one, by self-introspection and this will bring peace all around. Think twice before you speak. Think twice! What should you think? One: Is it necessary to say anything? Two? How will it affect others? Is it in their interest or will it hurt them? Is it good? is it necessary to say something? if not, keep quiet. Mind your own business. Whatever we say, it must be sweet words. Kind words imbued with humility don't cost anything. If you have that attitude in life, I think that ninety percent of your troubles will be avoided. _________________ To get your own FREE ZDNet Onebox - FREE voicemail, email, and fax, all in one place - sign up today at http://www.zdnetonebox.com
