Guest guest
Hi, > I'm just forgetting things. If I understand you correctly, you mean you're not thinking about things all the time like you usually do. Is that right? If so, it's great. This is one of the goals of meditation. Usually people are lost in a mental swirl of thoughts and daydreams. They worry about what might happen, make plans, imagine winning the lottery, etc. etc. All day long, non-stop, living in a mental fantasy world. It feels so normal that they don't even realize they're doing it. Most of this activity is pointless. It's a kind of compulsion. It doesn't increase a person's happiness or effectiveness. One of the things that happens to enlightened people is that they don't get lost in their mental activity anymore. Sounds like you're getting a taste of that freedom. I think you're very lucky. I'm just forgetting things. Normally, everything is important to me, and I have a wonderful, but now, I guess things aren't important to me and I am forgetting. I don't know if this has to do with the stuff I am doing, with meditation and stuff, or if I'm just getting a bad memory. Please tell me and tell me what it is please. Thank you. Guest guest
Forgetting, like you can't remember phone numbers? Or forgetting like, uh-oh, it's 10 o'clock, and I was supposed to call at 9, and I forgot to do it? - Joe0464 Realization Sunday, July 29, 2001 10:09 PM (no subject) Hello, Yes, I think that is what is happening sort of. I'm glad that is good. But besides not thinking, I don't know, I'm forgetting things like I said. I've never done this before and that's why I mentioned it. Blessed be Leaf
