Guest guest
Just Be! In the Now! That is all that is required. Don't let your thoughts wander into the past or into the future. Nor into day dreams or worries. Pull back your mind into the now. Let your thoughts come and go. But do not let them start forming associations and pulling you hither and thither. Don't even ask yourself who you are. You are there in the now. You only get lost in thoughts. Use mindfulness throughout the day to stay in the now. Just accept whatever you find in the now. Don't try to change it, improve it, or resist it. The world is as God intended it to be. Who are we to complain or daydream about putting things straight. It cannot be done, just accept it. It is as simple as that. Just Be! In the Now! ______________________ With Love, Cyber Dervish ````````````````````````````````````````
Guest guest
Hiya Jan, A newbie here, they call me Sandeep and wet behind the ears in the realization business. Greetings to everybody. Was wondering..... - Jan Sultan sworkalpha Wednesday, August 29, 2001 09:43 AM Just Be! In the Now! Just Be! In the Now!That is all that is required. S: Required for what? JS:Don't let your thoughts wander into the past or into the future. Nor into day dreams or worries. S: Who is to let the thoughts wander about or stick them in one place? JS: Pull back your mind into the now. S: Wonder who is that is separate from the mind, to pull it or push it. JS: Let your thoughts come and go. But do not let them start forming associations and pulling you hither and thither. Don't even ask yourself who you are. You are there in the now. You only get lost in thoughts. Use mindfulness throughout the day to stay in the now. S: Do you use the term mindfulness for noticing, witnessing? What's the deal in staying in the now? Who gets lost in thoughts or is in the now? JS: Just accept whatever you find in the now. Don't try to change it, improve it, or resist it. JS: In trying Not to change, Not to improve, Not to resist, is that acceptance? Or is acceptance, accepting the very attempt to change, improve or resist, if that is what is occuring in the moment? Wonder. JS: The world is as God intended it to be. S: Who? JS: Who are we to complain or daydream about putting things straight. S: And yet in the phenomenal construct, changes continue to occur moment after moment, isn't it? So why not day dream, if that is what is arising in the moment? JS: It cannot be done, just accept it. S: Something can be done or cannot be done in or to "something", in both the contentions, you lend a reality to that something isn't it? You accept the existential reality of that "something" Is that the case? Wonder. JS:It is as simple as that.Just Be! In the Now! S: Who is to be in the now? Wondering, because as indicated earlier, new to this realization game. Cheers Sandeep
